Hayle Football Club and the new plans

Comments (0)

Hayle Town Council will be hearing a planning application which proposes to build more than 100 homes tonight.

The application proposes to build 138 homes on land at the corner of Viaduct Hill and Trevassack Hill.

The developers, Kier Living Ltd, have also proposed highway alterations including restrictions to vehicle access to Trevassack Hill and a footpath link west of the site onto High Lanes.

The application also proposes to upgrade the Hayle Football Club, including a new 3G pitch, which uses artificial grass to create and all-weather pitch.

Hayle Town Council will hear the application tonight at their full council meeting, which starts at 7.15pm.

Whilst Hayle Town Council

Whilst Hayle Town Council regrets the reduction of affordable housing to 30% it acknowledges that this application brings substantial added benefits, such as the 36 pitch, to the town and therefore supports the application strongly. However, the town council also requests that the reduction of the speed limit to 3omph be extended to cover from High Lanes to Viaduct Hill and that double yellow lines be installed from the junction with Strawberry Lane westerly to approximately 6om beyond the cattery. The town council also requests that appropriate road signage regarding children crossing be considered.
